1-800-BE-ALERT

You won't believe this story. I was coming out of our children's concert last night and picked up a pencil from the ground. I left it on our kitchen table and this morning my wife looked at it and said, "Did you read this?"

The pencil is labeled: "Report Drug Smuggling. U.S. Customs Service. 1-800-BE-ALERT" I think I was meant to have that pencil.

"Get Help If You Fall Down Protect Yourself With a Lifeline Medical Alert. Be Safe, Not Sorry.", may not constitute a true "Be Alert" reference since the words are in reverse order but the spirit is certainly represented. For seniors, falls in and around the home have serious consequences. Did you realize that falls are one of the most serious health risks among seniors over the age of 65, affecting more people than stroke and heart attacks combined? Be alert.

Oh yes, sorry, I meant to say I'm glad you found the pencil.
